| Augmentation Mastopexy: Full Anchor-Type Breast Lift Technique |
| Anchor Type or Inverted-T Mastopexy with Breast Augmentation : For marked sag or ptosis | ||
| Full Anchor-type Mastopexy is needed to correct marked breast ptosis, or sag, where the nipple is well below the level of the lower breast crease. If the distance the nipple must be moved is too great, and the skin excess too severe, a vertical incision and transverse crease incision must be added to the mastopexy to shape the breast, and adjust the distance from the bottom of the areola to the crease beneath the breast. The Inverted-T Mastopexy is similar to the procedure used for Breast Reduction surgery, but all of the breast tissue is preserved, and only the skin is reshaped. The removal of skin in a horizontal and vertical direction, thus allows the breast skin to be moved upward and toward the center, and allows great latitude in breast-shaping and rejuvenation. | ||
