| Augmentation Mastopexy: Vertical Breast Lift Technique |
| Vertical Mastopexy with Breast Augmentation : For moderate sag or ptosis | ||
| Vertical Mastopexy is needed to correct more severe breast ptosis, or sag, where the nipple is below the level of the lower breast crease. If the distance the nipple must be moved is too great, and the skin excess too severe, a vertical limb must be added to the mastopexy to shape the breast, and | allow for projection of the apex , much like forming a cone from a flat sheet of paper or cloth. The removal of skin in a vertical direction, thus allows the medial and lateral breast skin to be moved toward the center, and prevent flattening of the breast apex and nipple. | |
