| Who is a Candidate for Tumescent Liposuction? |
| Tumescent Liposuction is a local anesthetic technique for removing or recontouring body fat which is poorly distributed. Tumescent Liposuction in specific, and Liposuction in general are not designed for massive fat removal or weight loss, and thus the best candidate is one who is well-toned and near ideal body weight with resistant fat pockets, or who has had a problem shedding some of the fat re-distribution associated with pregnancies. Tumescent Liposuction can be used for patients who far exceed ideal body weight, but the results tend to be less dramatic, although it may be very helpful to improve the fit of clothing in problem areas, such as the hips. |
