IPL FotoFacial or PhotoFacial Skin Rejuvenation for Face and Body:
As  the signs of  skin  aging  progress,  typical  changes   that occur include  irregularities in color, thickness,  and texture of the areas exposed to sun, weather, and negative factors like smoking, estrogen hormones  and  Rosacea.  This  leads to a  general  loss of  the skin's ability  to  reflect  light,  resulting in  the  dull   appearance   of   aged   skin.   Now   technology exists to improve,  and reverse these changes, restoring  the skin's brightness and youthful clear appearance. FotoFacial  (PhotoFacial) represents  a  powerful  new  skin rejuvenation  and  restoration  technology,  expanding  the  already  useful modality   of    INTENSE   PULSED   LIGHT.    The   scientific mechanism of  this approach  is  selective photothermolysis,  and reflects  the  ability  of  computer-controlled  light  energy of  certain  adjustable   wavelengths   (colors)  to  selectively remove  these  unsightly   areas  of  dilated   blood   vessels (telangiectasia),  blushing,  facial flushing,  and pigmentation irregularities,   including    freckles.     These   are   the   exact findings  in  patients   with   age  changes  due  to  heavy  sun exposure, estrogen hormone use,  and chronic inflammatory processes  like  Acne Rosacea.  This  technology  can  also be used  for areas of  photo-aging  on the chest,  hands, and other areas of the body.

All it takes is a flash of light !

A  53 year old  is shown before  and  after   three FotoFacial    treatments with      PhotoDerm    SR Intense    Pulsed    Light treatments.     Note    the marked improvement in the clarity  &  brightness of her skin after clearing of  the dilated veins and generalized  redness of her   skin,   along  with  a reduction   in  the  areas of   pigment  deposition.
Typically  5  FotoFacial treatments  are needed to    achieve   maximum benefit,   but  some   will respond so quickly that only   a   few  treatments are   required   to  reach satisfactory     changes.

Packages of multiple FotoFacial treatments are tailored to the individual patient's needs, and generally include credit toward skin care that serves a necessary compliment to the process and outcome. Some PhotoFacial packages also include supplemental Botox treatments. FotoFacial Packages also include microdermabrasion  treatments  to speed  exfoliation  and clearing of  brown  spots, and  thickened  skin areas that rob the skin of its youthful brightness and clarity.  PhotoFacial  is performed in conjunction with our medically-directed full spa services    See Link:  the spa @ Advanced Art
