| Nose Refinement ( Rhinoplasty ) and Chin Implant ( Genioplasty ): | ||
| Rhinoplasty involves reshaping the bone and cartilage skeleton of the nose to allow redraping of the nasal skin, and thus a more refined nasal shape in all views. A frequent finding in patients with a prominent dorsal nasal hump is the presence of an insufficiently projecting small | chin (hypogenia). This is corrected by either cutting and advancing the bone of the chin, or by placing a small rubber or plastic chin implant. | |
Photos Before and After Surgery:
| Case 1: A 26 year old patient with crooked nose and a nasal hump along with a small underprojecting chin. Note also the depression of the right side of the nose associated with an old nasal fracture, causing a twisted nasal appearance. |
