Non-Surgical Skin Care Programs |
| Non-Surgical Skin Care Programs: | ||
| An important adjunct to the Cosmetic Surgery Services offered in my office is the addition of a number of focused Cosmetic Skin Care Protocols. These programs offer rewards as simple as basic daily skin maintenance, and as sophisticated as prelude preparations for more invasive procedures such as aggressive preparation of the skin for CO2 Laser Resurfacing , Trichloro-Acetic Acid peeling, and Obagi Blue Peels. Between these extremes there is focused treatment for specific skin problems, such as Pigmentation Irregularities, Acne treatment protocols, and address of problems such as extreme skin glandularity or | mild wrinkling. We also offer a full line of Cosmetic Quality Cover-Disguise Make Up to speed return to normal social interaction after procedures such as Carbon Dioxide Laser Skin Resurfacing, or Facial Surgery. Sunscreens and various body moisturizers are also available. Just like with your favorite cosmetics, we find that patients may like to use some of these preparations more than others, and thus we offer a representative variety of the current and best Skin Care Programs, thus allowing us to address your individual needs. | |
Available Skin Care Protocols:
| The Obagi NuDerm System is a very flexible program mixing alpha-hydroxy acids and Retin-A along with skin toners, moisturizers, and pigment bleachers along with sunscreen, to provide a system which can be varied in intensity to suit the individualized program goal. We use this program for patients who are preparing for a TCA Blue Peel and CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing, and for pigment problems on the face and hands. I believe that the use of this particular program speeds the rate of healing and resolution of redness after Laser Skin Resurfacing. Follow link to patient photos |

| A simple system for basic excellent skin care and overall general maintenance using a Lactic Acid base. Very gentle and available with a lighter moisturizer for those with lanolin sensitivity. Works very well in the widest variety of patients, and shows excellent benefit for fine wrinkles. Effective for many patients with acne. Seventy percent Lactic Acid Skin Peels are available in the office as an additional supplement to this excellent program. |

| A simple but slightly more aggressive Glycolic Acid based general skin maintenance program. Useful for those who want a bit more rapid exfoliation, while gentle enough to avoid too much drying or flaking. Effective for oily skin Acne, and has an effective pigment fading program with Hydroquinone. Optional variable strength Glycolic Acid Peels are available in the office. |
